Its payouts are similar to the American roulette payouts but in terms of odds, it is more beneficial for gamblers. American roulette, unlike the European one, has thirty-eight numbers (sectors) on the wheel – from 1 to 36, 0 and 00 (double zero). As for '00' payout in roulette, this type of bet pays out 35:1. Calculating the odds isn't hard at all if you know these two steps. Start off by dividing the number 36 by the total number of squares that your bet covers. After that, subtract one from that result and you will get the payout rate of the bet. For example, a straight-up bet will cover one number only, so you should divide 36 by 1 to get 36.

A 2 number bet or 'split bet' allows you to bet on two adjacent numbers, offering you some pretty attractive odds of 17:1 - the second biggest payout available at a roulette table. You can place a split bet across two numbers vertically or horizontally (if that makes any sense). Below you will find a simple table that lists the payouts for roulette. For each bet type we have listed how many numbers are covered and the payout you will receive if the bet wins.

Quick info about the payout column – With the payout column, we have listed the numbers going off the assumption that you're placing a £1 bet. For example, if you place a £1 bet on Red, you will get £2 back. Obviously the payouts will alter when the amount you bet is changed, for example, a £5 bet on red will mean a payout of £10 if you win.
